Bio – Art has the power…

to inspire… to heal… to be a bridge to peace….

“The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.” – Pablo Picasso

After years of taking macro-photos of eyes as art, I find myself drawn toward the artistry of video montage.

It began with an overflow of clips from my petsitting business. Create a video? “A Day in the Life of a Pet Sitter” was born, creating new vistas. When I heard was accepting submissions for International Peace Day, that sparked my interest. I got permission to use  “River of Breath”, a beautiful song composed by John Adorney, and sent out a “call for photos” to my email list. Was surprised at the amazing photos people were willing to share, and elated to discovered Creative Commons, a wonderful resource for free videos. Throughout this whole process, I felt a deep gratitude for the gift of life and the ability to witness the collaborative unfoldment of an artistic project. Special thanks to everyone who contributed to it. I’m pleased to say “River of Breath” will be included in the worldwide webcast on September 21st for  International Peace Day.
The Adventures of Sarah and Becky” (3:59), a fun little video, highlights the travels of my friend Becky and her guinea pigs Sarah and Mattie – and it gave me the opportunity to use some of my own video footage. My latest video, “Eastern Sun” (3:22), is set to the song by talented singer-songwriter Ayla Nereo from her innovative album, Hollow Bone.
I continue to explore the possibilities of video montage. If you have a song or project you think would be a good fit, I’d love to consider it. Feel free to contact me. I enjoy creating, editing and producing videos that bring a smile, touch the heart, inspire – or are just plain fun.
